Browsing MoLeSHARE and MoLeTV on a mobile device (BETA version)

• On your mobile device go to
  • http://www.moleshare.org.uk or http://www.moletv.org.uk and choose the device
• MoLeTV media is available via 3GP, MP4 and WMV download - the download formats depend on the viewing device and is subject to the uploader making downloads available.
• For those undertaking MoLeNET 3 projects and/or working with external training providers/work based learning it may be particularly useful to upload media to http://www.moletv.org.uk and then issue this link to staff and students in the workplace
• http://www.moleshare.org.uk and http://www.moletv.org.uk allows the user to select an appropriate mobile device interface (if using a mobile device)
• On the SmartPhone you may need to use a Zoom facility (if available) or set on or off 'smart page fit' (if an option).
• On mobile devices the web sites should be viewed in portrait mode.

OR

• Download either the 3GP, WMV or MP4 media as appropriate from the 'watch page' on MoLeTV using a desktop/laptop computer (http://www.moletv.org.uk) and upload it to the device. The 3GP can play on the SmartPhone. The MP4 can play on the iPod and the PSP. The WMV can play on the iPAQ with a Windows Media Browser (available from the installation CDROM if not pre-installed), however, the file-size may be quite large will take a longer time to upload to your iPAQ, you may also require a 2GB (min) storage card.

MoLESHARE and MoLeTV for mobile devices is work in progress. It has been impossible to test every mobile device (!) but please contact admin@moletv.org.uk with any specific issues we may be able to address. Your feedback regarding viewing MoLeSHARE and/or MoLeTV on your mobile device is welcome.

Browsing MoLeTV on iPodTouch/iPhone3GS

• Highly Recommended - You can download the FREE MoleTV application from iTunes. This application allows you to view MP4 media using WiFi and download it to your iPod for offline viewing. See iPod Help on MoLeTV for more information and how to download.

OR

• Go to www.moletv.tv on the device (not suitable for desktop/laptop browsers). www.moletv.tv can be viewed on the iPhone3GS using a 3G connection or WiFi.

OR

• Subscribe to an iTunes RSS feed.

  1. Open iTunes >> go to Advanced >> Subscribe to Podcast >> paste the link of the podcast channel you have just copied into the box.

  2. Click OK.

  3. If necessary, go to 'Podcasts'.

  4. Double click 'MoLeTV - Last 20 items added'

  5. Use the GET button to download the podcast episodes you wish to view from MoLeTV into iTunes.

  6. In iTunes Podcasts ensure that you are 'subscribed' to the podcast,

  7. In 'Podcast settings' ensure that you have either the default settings selected (i.e download the most recent episode) or choose to download all new episodes when available. You can also choose to update hourly, daily or weekly.

  8. That's it! When you synchronise your iPOD/iPhone, new podcast items will be downloaded to your device.
